Finding Time For Stillness..

Hey, Friend ! Are you also sometimes overwhelmed by your daily tasks and everything that needs your attention? The daily hustle and bustle that keeps us busy and then to just get home at the end of the day to more chores and the mundaine tasks like laundry? If this is you, don't worry, because we completely understand. In the last few days the Spirit has been laying it on my heart to just share a golden nugget of revelation with you and it may seem simple, but it is life changing. I myself have been struggling to just stay in the Word daily and when I get home after work my focus shifts to homely tasks like preparing dinner, doing a quick clean and laundry. After a few weeks or months of living in this cycle I came to ask myself: “Where do I get to spend quality time with Jesus? Where do I find that stillness that my heart so desperately longs for?” I asked and He answered. In the stillness of the morning.

That's right friends, it is as simple as that. Now, as someone who used to be a chronic snoozer, I can attest to the transformative power of waking up earlier and starting my day in the Word of God. I love the feeling of getting up before the sun has risen, feeling the morning chills and smelling the freshness of the air. I almost get sad when I see the sun start to peek out on the horizon, because then I know the day is going to start. This is the bitter sweetness of spending quality time with our King. By starting the day with Jesus, you are placing Him at the forefront of your thoughts and actions. There are numerous physical and mental benefits to waking up earlier as well. Studies have shown that early risers tend to have more energy, feel less rushed and stressed, and are generally more productive throughout the day.

Jesus set an example for us to follow and I think He knew how much we needed it. He got up early in the morning and went to a quiet place to pray to the Father (you can read the story in Mark 1, verse 35 to be exact). If the King of Kings needed a time of stillness and prayer alone, how much more do we need to also prioritize this in our lives?

I want to encourage you to experience this as well. Set your alarm for 30 minutes earlier than usual and use that time to read your Bible, pray, or meditate on God's Word. See how it affects your day and your overall well-being. Remember, starting your day with Jesus is not a magic formula for a perfect life, but it can greatly impact your perspective and the way you approach your daily tasks. Let's commit to making time with Him a priority and watch as He works in our lives.

Blessings xx

Jana
